Because every student— and educator— deserves to believe math is for everyone.

Our approach

Each partner is paired with a coach who brings deep expertise in math content, pedagogy, strategic planning, and adult learning. Our coaches work alongside school teams, using our Math Culture Change Framework to:

Co-create a shared, research-based vision for math teaching and learning

1

Develop a strategic plan and align school structures and professional learning time

2

Build internal leadership capacity of a Math Culture Lead or Leadership Team

3

Develop teachers' pedagogical skill, content knowledge, and classroom culture

4

Our goal is to work ourselves out of a job — empowering your team to lead this work long after we’re gone.

Types of Partnerships

Transformational

This partnership is designed for schools working toward a long-term, site-wide math culture shift.

  • Begins with a collaborative process to identify the strongest starting point for your context

  • Includes multi-year strategic planning that starts with a focused pilot and grows into sustainable, school-wide change

  • Best for teams ready to make math professional learning a central focus of their strategic plan

Building Blocks

This partnership is designed to lay the groundwork for broader change ahead.

  • Develop a small group of teachers or  school leaders to build momentum and plant the seeds for future school-wide math culture shifts.

  • Best for teams that aren’t yet able to make math professional learning a primary focus of their strategic plan, but can clear the path for a few eager educators to engage in learning across the year

Our Partners

"I've worked with our coach for 3 years now.  In that time, we have developed a relationship where we can communicate openly about just about anything.  My coach is a sounding board and critical thinker who is not afraid to offer a different perspective.  I have grown to count on them to be a mentor as I grow in my role."
